Our roots date back to 1977, in Putignano, in the heart of Puglia, the cradle of Italian manufacturing tradition.
Since then, Gimel has partnered with some of the most prestigious brands on the international fashion scene, developing, producing and distributing childrenswear collections for the global market.
Through strategic partnerships, Gimel goes far beyond the role of a traditional licensee: it is a fully integrated industrial platform that combines creativity, manufacturing expertise and an extensive international sales and distribution network, supporting each brand throughout every stage of the project.

We translate the DNA of leading brands into kidswear collections that stay true to their authenticity, combining product culture, Italian craftsmanship and industrial precision, so that each brand can grow alongside the families who love it, while preserving its identity, quality and recognisability. This is made possible by an integrated model that goes beyond the traditional role of a licensee, evolving into a strategic partnership with the brand — from vision to product, all the way to market.

We manage the entire process across every stage — from design and development to production, marketing, and distribution. End-to-end control of the supply chain enables us to deliver collections of exceptional quality, fully consistent with the DNA of each brand. Production is primarily based in Italy and, through a flexible operating model, is seamlessly integrated with a network of carefully selected international partners.
Our collections are distributed globally through a leading industry agency and key international distributors, providing privileged access to the world’s most prestigious retailers and department stores.
We are committed to environmental protection and continuously select suppliers aligned with sustainable and responsible practices, sharing the same vision and values, with no compromise on quality or ethics.

GIMEL is, by definition, a company capable of enhancing local specialized professionalism, favoring employment. The company has also contributed to the financing of various non-profit organizations such as the ABN Onlus, the Nepios Onlus and Make-a-wish Italy and keeps a constant focus on solidarity initiatives, selecting those that represent concrete aid for disadvantaged populations and children. GIMEL will participate in the 2018 edition of Convivio, the most important Italian charitable exhibition-market with the aim of raising funds in favor of ANLAIDS, the National Association for the fight against AIDS.
GIMEL has decided to support the FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italiano by joining the Corporate Golden Donor corporate membership program, participating in a major project to protect Italy.
Sustainability
GIMEL's philosophy for the environment drives it to seek eco-sustainable solutions for textiles and to consider green and energy-saving policies when selecting partners. To this end, the company conducts quality and cogent tests on products and equips suppliers with specifications in order to meet high standards.
